“God is great, God is good and good is everything he does”. ¡What bigness gift of God! From the Claretian School of Lima, a group of students and teachers for a pastoral activity travel to Atalaya, Ucayali, jungle of Peru, on their May holidays, from May 12 to 21.
The Ashéninka Indians have opened the doors of their community, their culture and their lives. They were unforgettable days of exchange and mainly of learning for each Claretian.
The feeling of gratitude reigns in our hearts and the desire to return soon. Thank you for the experience, shared and learned.
With them and in their language every Claretian says strong and from his heart: PASONKI! (from Ashéninka language -THANK YOU).
We celebrate the Trinitarian mystery of our God, who, being one, is a communion of Persons. If reason refuses to understand it, the Spirit of the Father and the Son that has been given to us will "guide us to the full truth".
Jesus lived like no one else the closeness of the Father. With his words and actions he showed us the face of this God who is compassion, mercy, companionship, FAMILY.
In this convulsive TODAY of our history, he calls us to be his witnesses, experiencing his Love every day and living among us and with everyone as "one family and one heart".
Only in this way "your joy will be complete".
The sisters of the General Government wish you:
Joyful feast of the Trinity!
The National Youth Days in Cuba (JNJ, in Spanish), emerged as a need to give young people the opportunity to celebrate the faith in communion with the Church and in tune with the World Youth Days (WYD). The main drawback is that most of us can not participate in such appointments with the Pope that are held every three years, approximately.
In January 2019, the meeting of the world Catholic youth was in Panama with the WYD that dedicated a special look to the Mother of God and our mother, Mary. There we were more than 500 Cubans representing our country, including those who were in the pre-Claretian day: beautiful days full of experience of the Universal Church. The meeting will also be lived by the Cuban youth between the 1st and 4th August next in the Archdiocese of Santiago de Cuba, although with some variations in the program of the event, taking into account our realities.
The young people of the Claretian lay family of Santiago de Cuba, are immersed in the whole process of preparation of the event, organized in the different commissions. The mission, communication, formation will be some of the services we will offer from our own parishes, which will be catechetical centers. Also, we will receive in our homes some young people from different dioceses. We are sure that it will be an opportunity to renew our charisma and serve, providing the best we have. There is very little left for JNJ, let us ask for the intersection of San Antonio María Claret, one of the patron saints of the day; for us, the young Cubans, the preparation and the future fruits that this leaves in our society, which is in need of the joyful witness of the Christians.

“Receive the Holy Spirit” were the words the disciples of Jesus, gathered with the closed doors, heard. Today those same words resound in each one of us and fill us with life, joy, hope and commitment...
It’s good news to believe that the Spirit has been poured out to all, to discover the signs of the breath of Life, always New in each person, it is encouraging to know that we have this Presence with which we can be Witnesses of the Kingdom.
Our wish, in this Feast of Pentecost... is to share with each one, this great joy, united with the firm determination to keep making the way with others... and to allow the Spirit to move us to let go of our fears, to break chains and to make our dedication more credible, seekers of peace, builders of communities, in solidarity with our brothers and open to the reality of our world.
It is the Spirit, who always impels us and sends us...
Sisters of the General Government
The UISG and the USG are entities created by the general governments of all the congregations present in Rome, male and female and the Dicastery of Consecrated Life. They have some common commissions, where religious work together. One of them is the Commission for Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation. Among its tasks is the formation of JPIC Promoters at the level of general governments.
Due to the variety of languages, there are two groups for the formation: those of Anglo-Saxon language (English) and those of Latin languages (Spanish, Italian, French, Portuguese).
We meet one morning a month for the formation, from October to June. Wednesday, June 5th, the section of Latin languages we had the evaluation (DAFO) of the formation 2018-2019 which had as a theme: "THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS RIGHTEOUSNESS, PEACE, AND JOY IN THE HOLY SPIRIT (Rm 14, 17)".
Each month we worked on a different theme with that same background: Biblical, theological, anthropological and ecclesial foundations of justice (October); I am the change I want to see in the world (November), Medellin 50 years later (December); Pope's Message for the World Day of Peace 2019 (January); The poor theological place of the JPIC commitment (February); Ecological conversion in justice with "the common house" (March): Justice as a way of life (April); Preparing the Synod of the Amazon (May).
The formative contents have been very good, in harmony with the ecclesial documents and the socio-environmental call.
In addition, it is an experience where fraternal relationships between religious promoters, men and women, of JPIC of the different religious congregations are strengthened by walking together and committed to justice, peace and integrity of Creation.
To these meetings took part the General Prefect of Apostolic Mission participates as promoter, and I, who for years have been its delegate. LUISA G.rmi
