"As Claretian sisters, in every place where we are inserted, we carry out our mission. There, in each particular and concrete Church, we are sent to proclaim the Good News with our life and with our words. "
The province of Latin America (sisters of Peru, Argentina, Panama, and Colombia) meet in the second assembly (February 16-19)in preparation for the XVII General Chapter in Bosa - Colombia. With the brochure guide ‘evaluation – projection’ they share the contributions, while strengthening the fraternal bonds and reviving the Claretian spirit.
As usual February 2nd, the day of consecrated life, Pope Francis invites us with new insights. In this time of preparation for the XVII General Chapter we are particularly moved by the words urging the mission:
“All of us are aware of the multicultural transformation we are experiencing; no one doubts this. Hence, it is all the more important for consecrated men and women to be one with Jesus, in their lives and in the midst of these great changes. Our mission – in accordance with each particular charism – reminds us that we are called to be a leaven in this dough. Perhaps there are better brands of flour, but the Lord has called us to be leaven here and now, with the challenges we face. Not on the defensive or motivated by fear, but with our hands on the plough, helping the wheat to grow, even though it has frequently been sown among weeds. Putting Jesus in the midst of his people means having a contemplative heart, one capable of discerning how God is walking through the streets of our cities, our towns and our neighbourhoods. Putting Jesus in the midst of his people means taking up and carrying the crosses of our brothers and sisters. It means wanting to touch the wounds of Jesus in the wounds of a world in pain, which longs and cries out for healing.”
Let the Spirit of Jesus continue to enligthen our path.
It has HAPPENED ONE DAY, an uncontrollable restlessness desire has been born in our heart, there has been an invitation, a necessity to which to attend not only temporarily ... Yes, we felt that a search was launched in us, something like: What do you want from me, Lord? It has taken time to recognize the voice as a call to follow Jesus, for a life. On the other hand, we also know that this 'historic' path did not start like this, and we may need even more time to fully understand it. This reality was born in the bosom of the Trinity, because before the creation of the world God has called us (cf. Ga 1:15). Our response to this call has been made possible by a mysterious union with the unique and constant YES of the Son ("without me you can do nothing").
With the consecration we accepted the call and we set on the way, that of Jesus, to walk the same destiny, with His same feelings and options until the end.
The attitude of our being is the melody of the entrails; The harmonic notes sound something like: what do you want me to be and do, Father ? Here I am, Father; Yes father; Behold… This music has tremendous vocational strength. It maintains us young despite years and times have past. It resounds in prayer, contemplation, gives tone to availability. It keeps us agile, close to the heart of humanity.
Let's thank God for the consecrated people... and pray for them !
Days 26 to 29 of January - the Province of Latinoamerica is celebrating the first assembly to strengthen the fraternal communion and work together some of the 'steps' in preparation for the XVII General Chapter. The first group of sisters are gathered in Barquisimeto (Venezuela). We pray for the fruits of the sharings and discernment.
Convocation of the XVII General Chapter.
17th of January 2017, death anniversary of Maria Antonia Paris, it has for us a new impulse to prepare us better for this very time of XVII General Chapter that begins with the Convocation of it by Maria Soledad Galeron as General Superior.
We have chosen the expression of Maria Antonia to impel us to sincerely seek the "will of God" and to realize it "without any difficulty", with confidence, praising the Lord for his goodness.
And this is a 'logo' which will enligthen and accompany our Chapter.
